Pulse Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Pulse application at https://pulse.byant.dev and its related command center at https://byant.dev/pulse, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Service Description and Not Financial Advice

Pulse is a local-first personal finance and productivity tool for budgeting, expense tracking, planning, and financial insights. Pulse is not a bank, broker, lender, payment processor, accounting firm, tax advisor, legal advisor, or investment advisor.

Pulse does not connect to user bank accounts in the current implementation and does not provide financial account aggregation. Any insights, forecasts, summaries, OCR results, or assistant responses are informational only and may be inaccurate or incomplete.

Premium features are optional and separate from the core budgeting features. Premium license verification may require an internet connection.

2. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the entries you add.

You are responsible for safeguarding your device, browser profile, exported backups, and any other copies of your data.

You are responsible for reviewing imported JSON backups before restoring them.

You are responsible for keeping any Premium license key private and for using Pulse lawfully.

You are responsible for verifying any information generated by OCR, budgeting tools, recurring rules, installment plans, or finance assistant prompts before relying on it.

3. Eligibility

Pulse is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use Pulse to:

Abuse, reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the service or its related command center.
Attempt unauthorized access to local storage, licensing systems, or any related services.
Bypass, tamper with, or misuse Premium verification or access controls.
Use the app for fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activity.
Upload or import data you do not have the right to use.
Use automated means to scrape, abuse, or overload the service or related pages.

5. Premium Licensing, Billing, and Refunds

Premium features require a valid license key. License verification may require internet access.

Premium purchases and payment processing are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Billing, checkout, taxes, and related payment terms are governed by Lemon Squeezy's terms and policies where applicable.

Premium purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where the merchant's policy provides otherwise.

If a license key is invalid, expired, disabled, or otherwise cannot be verified, Premium features may remain locked or may be disabled.

6. Intellectual Property

The Pulse brand, software, design, content, and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Pulse grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for your own personal financial tracking and budgeting purposes, subject to these Terms.

You retain ownership of the financial data you enter into Pulse, subject to any third-party rights contained in imported files or content you provide.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Pulse is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pulse, Ant, and Ant-kakanat make no warranties or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

Pulse does not guarantee that OCR results, calculations, forecasts, reminders, insights, or assistant responses will be correct.

Pulse is not responsible for decisions you make based on app output, including financial decisions, budgeting decisions, or data entry decisions.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Pulse, Ant, and Ant-kakanat are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, service interruption, calculation errors, OCR errors, or financial losses arising from or related to your use of the service.

8. Termination

Your access to Pulse may be suspended or restricted if there is serious misuse, fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.

You may stop using Pulse at any time.

Termination or suspension may limit access to Premium features or related services, but local data stored on your device will remain subject to your browser, device, and storage settings.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
